Emaar Properties has unveiled a remarkable new lighting system for the Burj Khalifa. Using advanced RGBW technology, the lighting upgrade offers a blend of innovative design and engineering excellence. The transformation will debut during the UAE’s Eid Al Etihad celebrations on 1 December 2024, heralding the countdown to the tower’s 15th anniversary on 4 January 2025.
The upgrade adds a new dimension to the iconic tower’s façade, creating a vibrant array of colours and dynamic effects that enhance its appeal to visitors and solidify Dubai’s role as a global centre for innovation and design leadership.
Following six months of testing, the RGBW system was seamlessly integrated into the façade. It replaces the previous static lights with colour-changing, addressable fixtures capable of intricate displays for both everyday and celebratory occasions. The system works in harmony with the Burj Khalifa’s media screen while preserving its sleek and elegant profile.
