With charities lobbying the government to be exempt from National Insurance changes announced in the budget, one North-West London-based organisation is hoping for a boost to its own budget, after partnering with FreeWills.co.uk, one of the UK’s largest will-writing services.
Centre for ADHD and Autism Support (CAAS), which supports, educates and empowers individuals diagnosed with ADHD or who are autistic, their families and the community has teamed up with the Wills specialist to help their supporters make their own personalised wills for free online.
Last year CAAS supported over 5,000 people across North-west London.
Thanks to Free Wills’ advanced technology, supporters can do this from the comfort of their homes in fifteen minutes or less, without having to visit a solicitor, and without having to pay exorbitant fees.
The great news for CAAS is that this free Wills offer is open to people of all ages, and although there is no obligation to leave a gift in your Will to them, most supporters see the benefit of doing so.
Gabriella Eberhardt, Chair of the Centre for ADHD and Autism Support said:
“Legacy giving provides a powerful means for individuals to make a meaningful difference beyond their lifetimes. We hope this initiative will inspire more people to consider the impact they can have by supporting CAAS through their wills.”
Carl Christensen, Managing Director of FreeWills.co.uk, added:
“There is no doubt that the plans for national insurance could well have a major impact on charities in terms of their costs and their ability to deliver their much-needed services and support. At Free Wills, we can’t change that but we can offer a service that not only helps people take the crucial step of making their will with a far simpler process but also supports CAAS’ important mission. It’s wonderful to contribute to such a deserving cause, and we wish them every success with their fundraising.”
