On Thursday 28th November, Jazzie B, Soul II Soul founder, British DJ, producer and proud local will launch
Camden Market’s most festive Christmas tree and lights display, from 4:30 – 5:30pm.
The opening event on the 28th November will mark the beginning of a five-week line-up of festive activities.
From five dazzling, Christmas tree displays to free family-friendly entertainment, Camden Market is the
place to be this festive season for those seeking a truly unique Christmas experience.
Jazzie B will welcome guests alongside The Mayor of Camden. Jazzie B recently starred in the ‘Camden’
documentary alongside Dua Lipa and Chris Martin which delves into untold stories of how Camden shaped
the lives and careers of some of the world’s most iconic artists.
Enjoy an unforgettable evening of free entertainment, featuring live music from a gospel choir, a vibrant
steel pan band, and surprise roaming performances from Santa, his elves, festive fairies, and a snow
queen stilt walker. Sip on mulled wine and cider as Camden Market is transformed this Christmas.
Other highlights include a spectacular “ceiling of light” above Water Lane, alongside glittering icicle lights
and twinkling stars scattered throughout the market. This year’s display is the most impressive yet,
showcasing five bold and beautifully decorated Christmas trees in striking colours such as fuchsia pink,
electric blue, and lime green.
Discover a magnificent 20ft tree in both Hawley Wharf’s Market Square and the Stables Market outside
Cyberdog. Meanwhile, vibrant 16ft trees will illuminate The Quay, Waterside Halls, and Camden Market’s
main entrance. Together, these stunning displays will welcome visitors to Camden Market’s festive
celebrations.
Santa’s Grotto:
A brand-new Enchanted Ice Grotto will open in Waterside Halls West from 28th November. The interactive
space will be filled with magical twinkling lights including a glistening mirror ball and a bespoke
handcrafted sleigh creating the perfect Christmas atmosphere. The Enchanted Ice Grotto will allow visitors
will be in with the chance to ‘Meet and Greet’ Santa throughout the festive period with tickets available on
camdenmarket.com and Eventbrite.
