Festive Magic Meets Wicked Fun at The Clermont

Karen ContrinoBy Karen Contrino23/11/20242 Mins Read

With the highly anticipated release of WICKED on the big screen landing in November, two of London’s city centre hotels are celebrating all things green with a WICKED festive afternoon tea experience.

As an Official Hotel Partner to the musical phenomenon WICKED, “One of the most successful musicals of all time” (BBC News), The Clermont Victoria and The Clermont Charing Cross are launching a seasonal version of their popular WICKED-inspired afternoon tea, complete with a range of suitably wicked festive delights.

Guests can indulge in a savoury selection including roast turkey and cranberry mayonnaise finger sandwiches and pigs in blankets—a true festive favourite- all accompanied by warm scones served with lashings of clotted cream and jam, a sumptuous chocolate and pistachio bombe and, of course, a gloriously green lime cheesecake, almost too pretty to eat.

The signature themed cocktails are inspired by the story of WICKED, which imagines a beguiling backstory and future possibilities to the lives of the Witches of Oz, revealing the decisions and events that shape the destinies of two unlikely university friends on their journey to becoming ‘Glinda The Good’ and the ‘Wicked Witch of the West’. ‘The Wicked’ cocktail and ‘The Good’, cocktail both feature unique combinations of sweet, fruity flavours, topped off with sparkling wine. In addition, the new festive cocktail, Enchanting Emerald, is a fusion of fruit flavoured liquors, mixed with rich coconut cream and topped off with soda and a dash of lemon.

The WICKED festive afternoon tea is served in Clermont Victoria’s stylish Tea Lounge and The Clermont Charing Cross Restaurant, both of which epitomise Victorian grandeur and style, with added magic of twinkling Christmas decorations to further set the scene.

The WICKED Festive Afternoon tea is available from 21 November – 24 December, priced at £45 per head. For more information or to book at The Clermont Victoria or The Clermont Charing Cross visit The Clermont.
