DIN TAI FUNG CANARY WHARF TO OPEN IT’S DOORS ON WEDNESDAY 26TH FEBRUARY 2025 WITH EXCLUSIVE MENU ITEMS

Din Tai Fung, the globally acclaimed Taiwanese restaurant renowned for its authentic dining experiences, is delighted to announce the official opening date of its fourth UK restaurant in Canary Wharf. Doors will open on Wednesday 26th February at Crossrail Place, offering East Londoners their first taste of the world-famous Xiao Long Bao and other culinary delights.

The 112-seat restaurant, complete with a private dining room for 16, offers a captivating dining experience. The central Show Kitchen allows guests to witness the artistry of the chefs handcrafting each Xiao Long Bao with the signature 18 folds. The elegant interiors blend traditional Chinese elements with modern design, creating a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere.

Canary Wharf Exclusive Dishes

Alongside the signature menu, guests will find two brand new additions inspired by Din Tai Fung’s global locations and crafted with local ingredients to evolve the dining experience beyond the celebrated Xiao Long Bao soup dumplings. These dishes expand the culinary repertoire while staying true to the precision and quality for which the restaurant is known and showcase their commitment to innovation. The new menu items are:

  • Mouthwatering Chicken in Spicy Sauce: An elevated version of a classic staple. Slices of tender chicken thighs, dressed with Din Tai Fung signature spicy sauce (£11.50), are delicious on their own but even better paired with the crisp, refreshing taste of Din Tai Fung’s Craft Lager.

  • Beef Tenderloin with Broccoli: Premium grass-fed angus beef fillets from Ireland sourced from local butcher, Butcher & Edmonds, assorted bell peppers, and broccoli tossed together in garlic oyster sauce in a fiery wok (£25.00). The rich, savoury notes of this dish are perfectly complemented by the smooth, nuanced flavours of our curated artisanal Akashi-Tai Sake range.

Alongside the two exclusive new dishes, the menu will also feature a recently launched menu item perfect for a quick and satisfying lunch: the Chicken Cutlet & Egg Fried Rice (£19.50). This flavourful dish features wok fried Clarence Court Leghorn White Eggs coating every grain of Taikeng No. 9 Rice imported from Taiwan, served with a crispy chicken cutlet. A delicious twist on their signature pork chop egg fried rice, this dish offers a satisfying and convenient dining option for those on the go.

Din Tai Fung’s Perfect Setting: Canary Wharf

The vibrant and dynamic Canary Wharf with its blend of world-class business and leisure offerings, provides the perfect backdrop for experiencing the culinary excellence of Din Tai Fung. From the stunning public art installations to the surprising array of green spaces, there’s something for everyone in this bustling neighbourhood. Enjoy up to three hours of free parking on weekends and Bank Holidays with a £10 purchase at participating retailers and explore all that Canary Wharf has to offer. It’s effortless and a perfect location for everyone, from groups of friends and energetic families to busy commuters and solo diners.
